Hot Christmas Punch (inspired by Ponche and by Wassail)

 Hot Christmas Fruit Punch

1 c brown sugar or 1 piloncillo cone
1 pkt jamaica flavored juice mix powder (like kool-aid; found in the Mexican section of grocery stores)
1 large can guavas with their liquid
1 apple, cored and diced
1 c fresh or frozen cranberries
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
12-16 c water
2 cinnamon sticks
sprinkle of ground cloves or 3-5 whole cloves

Cut guavas into slices or into 1-inch chunks (halve the guavas and then cut each half in quarters). Put all ingredients into a crock pot. Heat on high until a nice hot drinking temperature. Enjoy!

One of the fun things about this is you can leave it in the crock pot (or back burner of the stove on low) and refill mugs or cups throughout the day/during a party. When the pot gets low, you can add more ingredients and change the flavor, making it stay fun and fresh. Just don't forget to add more water, cinnamon, cloves, and more brown sugar as needed, to taste.

Optional ingredients (to add as the pot gets low and needs to be refilled, refreshed, replenished):
1 pear, cored and diced
1 orange, cut in thin slices with the skin on
1 can frozen apple juice concentrate
1 can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
Mango nectar
pineapple juice
sliced pineapple rings
tecojotes
crabapples
canned mandarin oranges
sliced peeled ginger
